Festival Stage Manager
Reports to: Works with Producer, Festival Site Coordinator, Volunteer team
Job Purpose: To develop and ensure a quality stage through technical sound and light requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous stage design experience
- Working knowledge of sound and light technology
- Experience in stage production and coordinating a stage crew
Work setting:
- Outdoors rain or shine
- Festival Main Stage
- Standing, walking and lifting
Timeframe:
- June 1 to August 31
- Pre-festival organization and planning
- Site set up starts Wednesday and take down starts on Sunday night
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with Producer to ensure that performers technical requirements are satisfied
- Coordinates technical requirements with Sound Company and Producer
- Coordinates stage crew to ensure efficient changeovers from one act to another
- Coordinates the development & acquisition of set design & production requirements
- Coordinates stage lighting with Stage Lighting Coordinator
- Good verbal communication skills and sensitivity to customer needs
- Ensures a safe, clean and friendly environment
- Provides a good impression and enthusiastically answers any questions about the festival
- Understand and complies with the Central Music Fest volunteer regulations and code of ethics
