Festival Vendor Coordinator
Reports to: Festival Producer, Security Coordinator and Volunteer Team
Job Purpose: To market and maintain a good relationship between vendors and the festival.
Qualifications:
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Has working knowledge, follows the guidelines, negotiates and understands the importance of contracts
Work setting:
- Outdoors rain or shine
- Walking the festival site
Timeframe:
- Pre-festival time
- Friday morning to Sunday evening
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Markets and negotiates contracts for concessions and vendors
- Collects Vendor Fees in advance of set-up – cash, certified cheque or credit/debit card transaction only
- Monitors site set-up for concessions
- Ensures concessions meet all the requirements of the signed contract
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitors vendors during festival times and reports any concerns to security
- Ensures that information regarding who is staying on site during the night is provided to Volunteer Team and to Security Coordinator
- Ensures a safe, clean and friendly environment
- Provides a good impression to guests and enthusiastically answers any questions about the festival
- Understand and complies with the Central Music Fest volunteer regulations and code of ethics
